What Is Bill Ferguson Jr. Tweeting His Thumbs Off For - Kevin Bennett

"And why should you care? Over the last few weeks, if you have been on Twitter or any other social media network, you have probably seen the name Bill Ferguson Jr.roll across your screen. Do you even know who he is? He is not just another Twitter pirate begging for money for God knows what. This is different. Sure, we see people ask for money all the time for things like Cancer, AIDS, or Multiple Sclerosis. Those diseases get national attention all the time. And with no cure, they should. But Bill Ferguson Jr. is trying to get attention for another killer. This disease gives a person the average of 37 years to live. This disease has no prevention. This disease is carried in a defective gene of 1 in 29 Caucasian males. It is Cystic Fibrosis." Read more

Adam Baldwin Donates Firefly Replica Jaynestown Bust

Ebay Listing

Head and shoulder lifecast of actor Adam Baldwin, being a 1st generation copy of the original bust that was cast and over sculpted as a filming prop for the 7th episode of  Joss Whedon's cult-TV series Firefly 'Jaynestown.' (Written by Ben Edlund)

The bust of the original fiberglass "mud" statue was created by Los Angeles special makeup effects artist Robert Hall at his company Almost Human.  http://www.almosthuman.net/  After filming of 'Jaynestown' wrapped in September of 2002, the "screen-used" bust was kept by the actor and then sold at charity auction in December of 2005.

The item currently at auction is an ARTIST'S COPY that Mr. Hall gifted to the actor for his personal collection.  It was created from the original lifecast mold and finished for Mr. Baldwin prior to 2005.  The composition material is unknown, but it is of note that this is a solidly cast piece (approx. 7lbs in weight). The finish is artist faux painted rather than "mud-caked".
