Brooklyn Allison and Madeline Bertrand are each recipients of the Michael Gaddes Memorial Scholarships Funded by the Gaddes Foundation. Each student will receive $2,000 per year for two years. Brooklyn lives in Tennessee and will be attending Pellisippi State Community College to study Business Management. Madeline is from Illinois and plans to study marine biology.

Brooklyn wrote a note to the foundation:

"I am beyond grateful for the scholarship. I have a lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis, my parents have to pay a ton on my medical bills. Because of your kindness and generosity, I will be able to afford going to college. I am going to go to Pellissippi State Community College and then hopefully transfer to the University of Tennessee for a degree in Business Management. The dream is to become an office manager and you are helping that come closer and closer to being a reality. Again, I really appreciate the scholarship."
